Welcome to Ezytek’s first post!
Today, as the first low-cost system article of our blog, we present you with a very simple and effective water filter. Thought of and assembled by the EWB (Engineers Without Borders), it provides an easy way to purify water.
They started their work with a very straightforward observation:
In the next 25 years a third of the population will face severe water scarcity.
However, water is widespread all over the planet. The main problem lies in its quality and drinkability, as these two factors vary widely across the globe. To tackle this issue, people from all over the world try to develop low-cost systems to purify water. Thanks to its extreme simplicity, this filter could be used by people anywhere to clean up water. In our wiki you will find details on how to construct it and how to use it:

As for the EWB, not only did they put together this filter, they also aim to visit high school classrooms to present their system and to raise awareness among students about the need for water.
